Perfume Concentration Guide

Concentration labels help describe a fragrance format, but they are not a guaranteed ranking of performance. Formula, materials, skin, weather and application all affect the result.

Parfum

Parfum is typically positioned as a richer format with a higher aromatic concentration, often giving a dense and close-wearing experience depending on the formula.

Eau de Parfum (EDP)

EDP is one of the most common formats in modern perfumery and often balances richness, projection and wear time. But one EDP can perform very differently from another.

Eau de Toilette (EDT)

EDT is often lighter and brighter, which can suit daytime and warm conditions. Do not assume lighter automatically means poor quality; it may be an intentional style choice.

What should you choose?

Choose by the actual scent and use case. Read notes, reviews and product details instead of choosing only by concentration label.
